Cumberland will be celebrating Independence Day this weekend by launching this summer's wheat beer, Honey Wheat. This American style wheat is brewed with 50% wheat malt and 30 lbs. of local honey added at the end of the boil. Willamette hops contribute a spicy aroma that compliments the aromatics of the honey in this golden colored ale.

Its that time of year. The pools are open, the schools are getting out and the weather is warming up. In our opinion there is no better way to beat the heat then a nice cold craft beer. Fortunatly there are plenty of opportunities this summer with plenty of beer Festivals. This season Kicks off this weekend with a double dip. On Saturday we will be crossing the river for Keg Liquor's Fest of Ale. On Sunday the breweries will be taking over Morton Ave for The Great Flanagan's Beer Festival.
Cumberland will also be working with BBC for two events this summer, the first of which will be The Smoke Out on June 27th. This event hosted by BBC will feature Smoked beers as well as Smoked turkey, smoke cigars, smoked veggies, smoked pretzels, smoke pipes, smoked meat, smoked nuts, smokin hot babes, smoke ciggs, smoked brisket, smoke songs all day long, smoked oysters, smoke shrimp, fire trucks and fire fighters and all things smoked. Later in the summer Cumberland will be hosting a Cask beer night, more details to follow soon.
Other highlights include the increasingly popular Brew at the Zoo; Traveling to Madison for the second oldest American beer festival The great taste of the Midwest; and the Granddaddy of beer fests, The Great American Beer Festival.

Way back in December we stashed some of our Christmas Keister into three Bourbon Barrels letting it age for the past three months. The time in the barrel has added to the complexity of the Old ale. After Spending last week in a tank settling and carbonating, it was kegged up this morning. The Easter Keister will make its debut this Wednesday the 8th. Later this week the barrels will be refilled with some Kincardine Scottish Ale.
On St. Patrick's Day we will be doing a Pint glass giveaway. One free glass with purchase of a pint, limit one per customer. Limited supplies
